“Not with blows, but with love” as st. John Bosco insisted we, at Don Bosco School, Boko surge ahead in our pursuit of “man-making”, forming the leaders of tomorrow with love and kindness. We live today in a world that is so very different from the one we were educated in. The world today is challenging at such an accelerating rate and we as educators need to pause, reflect and amend our system of Education to meet the needs of today. Hence we at DBS, Boko work at implementing a well balanced curriculum to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of our school will relish their childhood and are truly prepared to face life’s challenges.
It was Margaret Mead once said, “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think,” and to enable this, besides the academic excellence at DBS, Boko the students animate well the daily assemblies in groups, present their projects in the class, get opportunities in all possible spheres such as drama, art, craft, music, clubs, camps, sports, field works, environmental conservation activities, experiences of work and cleanliness, etc. inculcating experience, creativity, innovation and confidence.
Success comes to those who work hard, stays with those and make constant improvements but don’t rest on the laurels of the past. We with our different perspectives continue to brace ourselves with fresh initiatives and brave greater challenges producing reliable citizens of the country who will go out into the whole world and make us proud.
